‘Lack of respect’: outcry over Amazon employee’s death on warehouse floor

Why do I still use this company? My Prime Membership is ending soon, and I have canceled the renewal. I’m going to stick with the cancelation, as I just don’t really need their services. If I ever need something quickly, I can just go into a store. I have tried reducing usage over time, and have to a degree, but this is yet another reminder to not support a company that treats people like this.

I interviewed with Amazon, and I have never felt more drenched in koolaid than in that interview. That company has some serious issues and operates more like the Borg.

I'm of the opposite view, completely - It would have been incredibly disrespectful to the deceased to have made a fuss about it. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have done anything; His coworkers on the shift and anyone present should have been given counseling and time off, but blocking his body from view while emergency responders were caring for it is the way that life should move on. Making a fuss wouldn't have made sense, and there's no sense to shut down the warehouse if the medics are confident that it wasn't a workplace accident or safety issue.
