Why can I remember decade old dreams just after waking?

Any ideas about this rather bazaar experience. My motivation here is to hack my thought processes to increase creativity / insights.

May be brain in the sleep state is more similar to the sleep state in the past as compare to the awake state.

Idk? This has literally never happened to me.
