I don't really get the advantage of powering the wheels. Passive heel shoes can achieve higher speeds and could probably be improved toward easier use with more minimal electronics or mechanisms? I.e. a wheel lock for steps could be low or no power.
I think one of the original use cases for stilts was the increase in speed. Was it 250% though?
I look forward to being overtaken while walking through Shoreditch.
...by having wheels and electric motors
Still cool, but misleading title.
Sigh ... So now we'll have to charge our shoes too. And ofcourse, it'll come with its own app that will require you to share your location to show you how many steps you have walked and where you have walked (or run), on a map. (And since we all want cheap shoes, it will also sell your data to data brokers to "subsidize" the cost of the shoes for you). And ofcourse, it'll be subscription based to make sure that you have access to their latest "gait-adjusting" algorithm. If we stop paying the subscription will the shoe atleast work as a roller skate? /s
