I'm grateful for this. I would love to see all future charging stations be compatible with all EVs, with some degree of backwards compatibility as stations and vehicles evolve. Kind of like USB for EV charging.
I would be happy with a future where charging stations are as common as (if not more so) gas stations, each with their own efficient solar panels to supplement grid power. That's the solarpunk dream.

This is very roughly 1 charge site per city with a population over 100,000. A drop in the bucket. If all major manufacturers did it however, it would be fantastic news for EV adoption.
Adding close to 10% to the total isn't a drop in the bucket, is it?
