Given the author’s interest in developer tools, I wonder whether that makes him more or less patient when it comes to trying to entirely new tools and ecosystem.

Do tools suck because the makers don’t care or is the domain itself, in this case iOS development, so complex that the tools can’t keep up? Tools here being Xcode, swift, docs and their error messages.
