Overdose prevention centres save lives – why is the UK against introducing them?

People are on their own journeys. We don’t have to save everyone from their demons.
We could surely save money in short term health costs by executing heroin addicts. Or let them die by withholding cheap clean syringes. But it isn’t clear to me that doing so counts as common sense.
