I think people who are heavily into technology are generally immature. Technology is one of the most powerful forces that shapes the world in BOTH good and bad ways. Yet, when you actually interact with the majority (not all) of programmers and technology creators, they have no thought about the ethical considerations of what they are doing. To me that shows a basic lack of maturity, and that they never grew out of escaping the world by playing with cool toys.

I know that might sound harsh but I really believe that to be true based on my interactions with tech people.
