Taleb's behaviour on Twitter is incredibly discrediting to him - childlike tantrums, now childlike taunts. Hard to believe that someone could become a public intellectual with this level of emotional immaturity

Yeah I’ve always been a bit bewildered at how much he’s loved. Last I saw him on on twitter he was blocking and insulting people with rather benign disagreements with him.

He helps people with shallow domain expertise berate a powerful industry nobody loves.

Why is this gossip on HN?

Why are we following who makes fun of whom? I thought this was for intellectually challenging content?

Also nothing like Twitter to bring out the a-hole in people.

If the list had included "The Black Swan" maybe Taleb would have been more charitable. Regardless - not sure if Lex needs any kind of "credentials" to be a good interviewer. His work stands on it's own.

Nothing better than being publicly patronising to someone way way younger than you.

Maybe it's just me, but listening to lex, he approaches all guests with a kind of open "I don't know much, I want to hear what your have to say" type attitude, which makes this even worse. Taleb sounds like a dick.

Dude is quite an asshole on Twitter lol. His books contain a lot of great ideas though (although, they could probably be 10 pages long... instead of 300)

The old cat lady of twitter reminds us of his existence
