In your research for this paper, did you come across a derivation of the random forest from first principles that you found particularly accessible?

Side note: I like your styling for your website! The only thing that sticks out is the spacing around the inline TeX doesn't always render, e.g., around "we define a random".

I liked the style of Gilles' PhD dissertation, but imho notation could be simplified a little bit. But in general it's easy to understand.

Regarding the TeX rendering, what do you mean with "spacing around inline TeX"? I don't see nothing wrong on my side, but maybe it depends on the browser.
