A Paper Internet (2010)

We've gotta have a real solution to data archival by now. It's nuts that we don't have SSDs that will survive even 1 human lifetime reliably.

Blu-ray is the closest a consumer can get easily, and nobody seems to actually know how long they will last.

Did we make so much garbage data nobody cares about that we forgot to research ways to store anything for more than a few years?

Did anything become of this project after 2010? Have any open source projects since then tried to tackle the problem of century-scale data storage?

What survives best is something that gains from stress, like culture. To make a specific part of it survive frozen in time, it's still better to make different copies of it. The Rosetta Stone survived out of luck, many more pieces of information didn't.

How do you undo the process? Does the paper survive undamaged?
