One thing that's very true today is that you can build an INCREDIBLE professional network without any in-person interaction. If you're too introverted to do in-person networking, the right combination of committing to projects, being active on Twitter, emailing people with ideas, etc. can make you a very well connected person.

It probably makes sense that HN is where I read an article without knowing it was authored by a bot, but come on, man.

I’m fairly certain this breed of technology, despite being very impressive and in some cases truly wonderful, will do more damage to our society than good.

To other humans: This is a low-quality article, probably written by an AI or content farm, and not worth spending any time on.

Was expecting: "How to invest in, cultivate, & nurture meaningful relationships over your adult life."

What I got: "How to make new friends at networking events."

Those two things are not entirely unrelated.

I deeply suspect any kind of human classification system that puts people in two distinct and opposite groups.
