List of stories set in a future now in the past

Had a desire to watch Soylent Green a few months ago. Imagine my surprise when the opening credits showed people wearing masks, and that it was set in 2022...

Then there's that strange feeling when "The Matrix" film trilogy...

In the future (when?), aliens take over, and we're all living in a simulation of 1993.

Watching the films when they were first released was great fun. Watching them now is still fun, but tech and cars and design is 30 years gone.

The notion of a simulation of 1993 gets better with age.

Very strange, a singular sci-fi experience.
