Reducing animal suffering, by any means, is great, and this method has worked somewhat, but my concern is the lack of ethical consideration. Those who speak out against animal cruelty seem to have been pushed aside so as not to spook the normies.
Chicken is mostly factory farmed, pretty horremdous even if it beats beef and pork in terms of global warming byproduct footprint. Furthermore, it's largely pumped full of hormones, and contaminated feed/medecines which impart toxic heavy metals such as arsenic on the consumer. All in all, this industry takes a large chunk of blame for the obesity epidemic, as these hormones very much have an effect on the consumer.
