Blockchain Fails to Gain Traction in the Enterprise

The missing element in blockchain adoption is "incentive".

How do you "incentivize" others to participate and support your decentralized solution?

If one organization foots the bill and provides all the incentive, it's not really "decentralized" and other approaches are cheaper, faster and easier to implement --- i.e. a central database with API access.

Crypto solves this problem by automated money minting/printing.

In my opinion, IBM has lost credibility by not realizing all this before jumping the blockchain shark.
