Ask HN: Any APIs that can send me public data on a person or organization?

When someone visits our site, I want them to get started as quickly as possible. Ideally, I’d like to present some photos, social links, descriptions and so on, based just on their name — or the name of their organization. It won’t work for people with common names and they might have to select / curate it. But for many, it would.

But I couldn’t find a service that already did this. To get extended public info on a person and expose it as an API to download. Also maybe by their email or phone number.

We could of course write our own scraper that tries at request time to go and scrape google, facebook but I’d pay for an API that already did a far more extensive crawl and scrape for PUBLIC data and presents it to me.

The closest I can think of is Contact Enrichment APIs. What can you recommend? Like this? https://peopledataapi.com/
