There would be a lot less mundane questions on the internet if people would google/chatGPT first. I think it is valuable to try to direct people to using said tools when they are sufficient for an answer.
It probably doesn't help that most of the current chatbots suck like hell (ehlo bank & insurance).
I think there's a time and place for chatbots. It's just not everywhere and all the time.
Edit: I think the 'conversing' with the bot part will go away since people will become tired of holding a conversation to get what they want.
