i dont understand why people speak about these sites. they won't get taken down if you dont post on social media about them
There's something to that POV. I respect Open Library a whole lot more than Libgen, because I know Open Library will always be able to do their work in the open. There's a whole lot of content which can be legally available due to its age, and we should strive to make that as easy as possible to find for the average user.
It's blocked in France. Same was true for z-lib when it still existed. Thankfully Sci-Hub.ru (the main one) was never blocked here (that I know of).
Up for me, maybe ISP dependant.
I see it's been up and down for a week now
No it’s not
Any mirror or URL pointing to the Genesis Library is now down
Try to change your DNS servers. You'll be able to access any DNS blocked site. (e.g: thepiratebay)
With cloudflare nameserver seems pretty up to me rn
Still up
Up again
still down, at least in Italy
Up, behind a VPN.
Is it blocked in EU?
Yes, in some countries.
Not in the entire EU, I can access it from The Netherlands. I don’t think the EU ever blocks any websites, because thats up to each country individually.
up in Italy for me
up now using a vpn and adguard home dns server, both located in the US.
Does that mean I have to pay for things now? Outrageous!
No that means you have to pay for shit that you don't really own and that you can't return if you don't like it.
