Ask HN: Can you be the technical co-founder and CEO?

I'm currently a solo founder with a technical background (mostly front-end). I enjoy talking to users, setting the product vision, and designing & writing software. I've also gotten better at sales/marketing/pitching, skills I didn't have experience with before my venture.

I want to keep the CEO role as I recruit a co-founder because it's important to me to maintain control in the long-term of my company.

Do I recruit a CTO, so we split technical/non-technical work? Or should I be looking for a COO-type to help with sales/marketing?
