Show HN: A Visual UI to Hacker News

So if I understand correctly this is using HN as example data for a more general online tool:

> Ohayo is a fast and free tool for data science. Ohayo consists of a very high level programming language and a visual web studio for that language. The goal of Ohayo is to enable people to do data science at the speed of voice.

I had the same idea (to sort social media posts on a chart by time and points) in 2014. I called it "News 2D" at that time:

My Show HN was even similarly named. "Your Hacker News history visualized":

I built out the interface for a while, but it did not get much traction. And I also did not use it myself after a while, so I shut it down.

I however then adapted this idea to visualize products and that project is still alive:

Interesting to mess around with once I got the hang of things though you’re setting up a pretty high barrier to entry by making your own DSL just for this web studio. I wanted to filter out the NaN rows but I couldn’t get that working in my 5min of messing around.

Also, Cleveland rocks… Ohayo!

Thank you for introducing me to this, and to tree notation. I’ve been working on something similar to the concepts in Tree Notation and the ecosystem of tools around it, and I can’t believe something like this exists in this space. So awesome, going to dive in tomorrow.

I really like how you can chart the data. I will say though that I found myself wanting to click the dots on the chart as links and wasn't able to. If you intent people to use this same use case for the Ohayo, I would think that might be a nice option. (That is, unless I missed this somehow)

I like it. Maybe replace NaN with something else. It's distracting IMO.
