Ask HN: GitHub donate button – do people give?

Have any of you gotten significant donations for your open source projects via the Donate button on GitHub?

I don't think I have a donate button on GitHub. I think I had one on my blog. I never got anything. I don't think anyone visits the GitHub pages I have either.

Yes.

$/download is about 15x higher than $/ad-view
