Reading the comments of this C Programming book, they're obviously fake/bot generated: https://www.amazon.com/Learning-programming-Informative-depth-Programming/dp/B0BKMR4PGL

> I profoundly prescribe this book to anybody needing to memorize C. After perusing this book, perusers pick up important coding aptitudes that can be utilized in other programming dialects. Thumbs up Packt Distributing for making an fabulous book!

(it's not published by Packt)

> Typically very useful in understanding C dialect. It could be a nitty gritty course almost the C dialect programming. As fledgling myself, I discover this book supportive since of its simple and nitty gritty steps and enlightening

Obviously they've taken real reviews and put them through a thesaurus to avoid duplication detection.

I could find no way to notify Amazon about this fraud.

Amazon don't give a damn. They thrive on the appearance of community involvement, even if it's mostly spammers and bots.

You can get the fakespot browser extension for yourself but don't bet on Amazon changing anything. It's part of their business model.

In this particular case I would prefer that fakespot had a URL submission form on their website to paste in an Amazon link and give feedback on it rather than have something in my browser.

I use different computers for different purposes. This computer has loads of addons but I log into HN and nothing else. If something went wrong I could reach out to dang. On the computer I use for Amazon it only one addon as Amazon treat privacy minded people as criminals.

Amazon don't give a damn.

This I can agree with. I've spent too many hours on the phone with different support teams. The only team that actually appeared to care was their shipping/logistics team and I think I just got lucky to find one good person. She was clearly overworked as any time I called she was the same person that answered every time.

You can paste an Amazon URL into the top search bar. For example: https://www.fakespot.com/product/usb-docking-station-giq-usb...

Or if you want to make a quicksearch/bookmarklet for it, use this format: ``` https://www.fakespot.com/analyze?form_type=home_page&form_so... ```

(edit: I dunno how HN URL formatting works. Just copy and paste that URL and add your URL at the end)

I like the bookmarket option. Thankyou for this. I might run through some of my previous orders to see what comes up.

Amazon promotes and encourages this type of garbage as it sells more product. Business as usual
