What did Zuck actually do? He stole an idea to compare women on campus. He then proceeded to add competition to his monopoly. When it comes to genuine innovation what is his crowning achievement? An empty billion-dollar VR chatroom that looks worse than Wii, that nobody (his employees included) wants to hang out in.
Elon built one of the shittiest companies around (PayPal), and then rode the curtails of his incredible employees on a bunch of other ventures, all while claiming to be smart (and we bought his bullshit). Now that his mental acuity is on the line, he is showing that a bag of rocks could do a better job.
I take moral issue with Steve Jobs, but he was the last big tech innovator. The current lot are just aimlessly flailing about.
Maybe they are not engineering-genius smart, but that _are_ smart. I don't think they seem like very moral people, and I don't think we should model ourselves after them. But they are smart.
You can write just as dismissive reviews of Steve Jobs as well. He was a megalomaniac who took existing ideas (MP3 Players, smart phones) and dressed them up to be fashion. People are not all one thing or the other.
