If you aren’t familiar with Yandex, Wired did a feature story about them earlier this year that was excellent.

> Meanwhile, Western partners were continuing to undo ties with the company.

> As to whether his apparent passivity in the face of the war in Ukraine amounts to a moral stain on his reputation, history and his own conscience will judge.

I don't understand what the author expects from him after unfriendly behavior of the West.

I call BS. Yandex is russia.

>Yandex’s Russian subsidiary would continue offering the same products in the country under the new owners, said the second person familiar with the matter.

a shell game

You do not run a business in russia without being part of the apparatus, just ask Mikhail Khodorkovsky.

How is Yandex "Russia" if Yandex is owned by a Dutch holding company?

The answer to that question is related to all the Russian businessmen that have been falling out of buildings all over the world.

So you don't have an answer, only vague allusions to things you heard somewhere?

The Yandex office in Holland is your typical tax dodging set up.

Then why is it making press release statements?
