Vaccinated Now Make Up Majority of Covid Deaths

Note that this happened because people failed to get recommended boosters, so fully vaccinated people are still far less likely to die and in the minority of deaths.

Per the article:

> "Being unvaccinated is still a major risk factor for dying from covid-19. But efficacy wanes over time, and an analysis out last week from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention highlights the need to get regular booster shots to keep one’s risk of death from the coronavirus low, especially for the elderly."

Boosters or no, the conditional probability of dying is (I assume) significantly lower for vaccinated people, but if there are many more vaccinated than unvaccinated, the majority of Covid deaths will be among vaccinated.

It's sort of like saying there are more yodelers in the US than in Switzerland. That could be true even if the per capita number of yodelers is much higher in Switzerland.

On the other hand, saying that Finland has won 15 Olympic medals in the 10,000 meters compared to the USA's 3 understates Finland's achievement, given that Finland has a population of about half that of Los Angeles County.
