Of course they would say that, they have to for stock price and market volatility. Whether it is true or not, being a leak, they would never say anything else until they are ready to announce it coming out of their PR department.

But it's on Twitter, so how do I know if this assertion of falsehood is true?

This seems fake.

One, this website does not have a track record of accurate scoops. This isn’t Casey Newton or The Information (people with actual sources) it’s some no name.

They also claim a single unnamed source told them this - were there no other sources to corroborate? Seems like something important to check!

Two, it makes no sense for Zuck to step down. He just started the metaverse project. He’s the one who believes in it most. If he leaves, it’ll likely be canned.

Why wouldn't it affect the money-burning pit that is Metaverse?

Now is a good time to get out and enjoy the mountain of money he has made.

Should at least resign from participating in any promotional imagery.
