Black Friday: UK shoppers warned most offers are not cheaper

My impression of what's on offer with sizeable discounts on Amazon is mostly just Amazon's own stuff [Echo Dot, Fire Tablets, Fire Sticks, etc] and, with one or two exceptions, loads of generic Chinese tat.

Agree about the prices though. Which is why you should always use a site like camelcamelcamel.com to see just how much of a 'bargain' those Black Friday deals really are.

The annual Which press release doing the rounds again then?

At this time of year its hard to find a retailer that isn't running a Black Friday promotion for weeks on end. It started out as hype but now it is pretty much impossible to buy anything that isn't part of some kind of 'promotion' and, I'm sure, most people are fully aware of this.

Anyway. Isn't Black Friday racist? Shouldn't it be called 'Friday of Color'? [sic] these days?
