All of the caste discrimination and violence I've heard of that took place in the US was perpetred against members of lower castes, particularly Dalits. Microsoft, apple, google, cisco, have all had major problems with caste discrimination, and these aren't isolated incidents.

If india had truly moved on from caste, then it would not spontaneously reemerge in organizations without measures explicitly prohibiting it.
