I've noticed almost all recreational marijuana now is just bad. Like it will hurt your lungs and is sprayed throughout the grow with lots of pesticides bad. There are a lot of factors, from mineral buildup to curing conditions that could all have to do with the impact on health.
The amateurness of it I can kinda get past, but I’ve never been able to take the idea of smoking your “medicine” seriously.
that's not how the propositions work in california though. it's proposed, backed by enough of the citizens via signatures, then voted on in a simple majority passage during an election. There is no "confirmation" one way or the other of it being anything other than something that a majority of the voters in california wanting to do it recreationally.

I believe there's been studies showing that people with fireplaces in their homes have meaningfully lower life expectancy than those with other forms of heating too.
It's not fun. We need proper regulations to label dosages and control production.
All legitimate dispensaries are required by law to only sell products that have been accurately labeled with respect to their content.
Regulations vary wildly by state and I don't live in one with such regulations. Moreover, labeling only works if the gov't is spot testing and inspecting production facilities.
That said, there's so much that can impact someone's perception of dosage with edibles. The mix of CBD/THC/CBN, what someone ate prior to consuming the edibles, how much time has passed between eating a meal and consuming the edibles, and things like metabolism and liver function all factor in.
Said another way: the effectiveness or perceived potency of marijuana, even with perfectly consistent and controlled dosages, can depend on so many other factors than consistent and controlled dosages.
And expand your horizons outside of one country as the US doesn’t represent all of the human race. The epidemic of obesity and diabetes is mostly an American phenomenon.
