Coca Cola, Visa, McDonalds, they all agreed to be sponsors
Why are sponsors "walking a tightrope", but FIFA "supports a criminal state"
We didn't see this much controversy for the F1 Qatar Grand Prix
Why is that? some group wants to weaken FIFA? too big?
Or is is an opportunity to gas light Qatar?
All i'm trying to do is "civil journalism", argumentation is the best weapon, let me know!
Overall it feels like humanity can do better. Many have written at length on this topic.
I just want to enjoy the sports drama. Sports is mostly a diversion. A spectacle to take our minds off from other things. Please, no flames. I won't take a position on the controversies here. The whole cup is a fail if the issues around Qatar's policies distract us from our escapism.
As we see with Twitter, present a company with a loss-making prospect and it reacts. Until that happens, it’s pleasant noises.
