The Washington Post really needs an editor - there are tons of obvious typos in this article. Seems clear that it was basically just written and posted without even a re-read. More of an internet comment and less a column in a national paper. Hopefully it gets cleared up over time, but still...
I think it's pretty transparent fear mongering and trying to create an outcome by reporting about it. The article encourages people to tweet about Twitter going down and to try alternatives - I wonder if that's because the Washington Post is politically aligned against Twitter, "tech", and Musk?
