Ask HN: How Do You Keep Track of Your Favorite Recipes?

Here is my dilemma: Many of my favorite cooking recipes are spread across different formats: cookbooks, youtube videos, websites (that break their URLs often), and more. How do you keep track of/organize/compile all of your favorite recipes for posterity?

The Pestle app is pretty great. It's not cheap, and is Apple only, but it scans text, scrapes most recipe websites, does unit/portion conversions, can produce aggregate shopping list for multiple recipes.

This seems more like what I am looking for. The low tech solutions are great (text files and paper) on a personal level but are horrible for sharing and editing with family. It's too bad about the apple lock in, is there was a way to export to a friendly format like PDF or markdown? (In case the app ever shuts down)

The two export features I see are individual recipes to PDF, or all of your recipes to JSON. It would be nice if it could make a personal cookbook to PDF!

If they are my 'favorite' I cook them all the time and can get the proportions close enough out of memory.

Print it out, shove it in the stack of recipes/cookbooks in the cupboard.
