Elon Musk: ‘I have Tesla covered too’ as he sleeps at Twitter HQ

His main contributions to his companies are:
- micromanaging employees' work
- whittling the workforce down to workaholic acolytes that will try to materialize any of his whims
- coming up with aforementioned whims (sudden, strong decisions about the direction the company will go in)
- "managing" PR to mixed success (great for Tesla's stock price, bad for Twitter's ad business)
If he's splitting his attention between companies, the main thing he won't have time for is the micromanagement, which is arguably better for the companies. It means competent people at the top can more confidently build track in front of the train, since they know what direction it's going for a while.
