Your point being? Are you suggesting that horrible animal welfare is bad, and that it adds to the negative feelings that you already have because of inflation?

The latter - if it really is one of the biggest farms, this may affect prices, which are bad as it is.

Well, maybe consider yourself lucky, that inflation is your problem and not living a life, like one of those pigs.

Meat, and food in general in the UK is incredibly cheap, one pig farm closing down won't affect your ability to get cheap food. Regardless, most people eat too much, too lacking in quality meat, a bit of scarcity will do everyone some good in this regard.

Yes, the poor in England really will appreciate this additional kicking. I actually don't understand what has to happen to someone for them to be able to disassociate from normality like this.

The poor in England won't be getting an additional kicking from because it will have barely any impact on them, but even if they couldn't buy crappy sausages which barely have anything you'd describe as meat in them, it would be good for them as even cheaper food like beans is far more healthy for them, and their finances.

Meat is incredibly – and mostly artifially – cheap in the West, inflation or no inflation. So I’m sorry, but can’t really sympathize at all.

That's not a cause of inflation. The lack of workers is the main cause, which won't change because of one farm closing.

They're abusing animals. Please don't support animal abuse. It's easy for you to eat something else.

The reality is most people don’t give a shit about animal welfare and unfortunately a huge percentage of the population would have no problem eating tortured meat if it was a bit cheaper.

I believe the reality is that people can change their minds about that too, though. I did.

I never wanted animals to suffer in the first place, but once upon a time I did think of it as an unfortunate consequence of a natural order of things. If I can chance my point of view on that, others can too. I think it’s worth trying.

Most people don't care about abuse in general, as long as they don't see or experience it directly... and especially if they get some benefit from it occurring.

How many people knowingly still shop at places (like Primark, which is huge and well known for sourcing goods which are made by child labor) just because it's cheap, and they're ok with trading their personal savings for the harm of people/creatures they can't see?

It's not so different from the most people who don't care about pollution as long as it is not in their back yard. People are greedy and stupid, and the human civilization is destined for failure.

From climate catastrophe to treating other empathetic beings, as soon as there is beleive of any impact to our current luxuries (even if not even proven): Economy over all!
