Mario flipped off Twitter for nearly two hours with Musk’s ‘verification’

Musk desperately orders features in and out. Advertisers pull out or sit on the sidelines. Revenue falls. Musk tries even more desperate things. More advertisers leave. Musk needs to sell more TSLA to fund Twitter experiment.
This could be the downfall of Elon.
A year from now they’ll announce a premium subscription that allows you to have the “Official” tag and shortly thereafter they’ll announce an “Acutally Offical” tag.
Rinse repeat.
That’s why they added the “Official” thing, which Elon quickly cancelled. Or uncancelled? I’ve lost track.
We’re going to end up exactly where we were, after everyone departs.
Fixing Twitter Blue to be more useful is a great idea. Making verification more transparent is fine. Adding a badge or something for Twitter Blue people so they can show off is fine.
Making all three things the same? Terrible idea.
I feel like he didn’t understand what verification really was, thinking it was a “you’re cool” vanity mark. And all this is the consequences.
