otherwise it's far so more useful as it is nominal 1.5V

That article says that they are good for just 20 cycles which is much less than the common NiMH rechargables.

They aren't available _anymore_ - they used to be more widespread, for instance the "Rayovac Renewal" line of rechargeable alkalines.

The quoted 25-cycle life seems like a deal-breaker compared to other battery formulations.
