With Twitter in chaos, Mastodon is on fire

if people move to a federated system to protest against *less* content moderation on twitter, they're going to be in for a big surprise.

You're allowed to drop nodes that don't behave well in federated systems.

In twitter you're allowed to unfollow people that don't behave well

But your popular feed will be filled with unmoderated flamebait and propaganda.

A federated network allows the user to selfsort towards the desired level and flavor of moderation.

Twitter (a centralised system) only has the setting Musk wants for everyone.
