Many of them have been paid a high enough multiple of the median household income in the state (which is less than 80k) for long enough - they’ll be fine.
And if they are not, they should have been fired a long time ago.

Not making 500k in a job you're incompetent at != being destitute.

They can always move back in with their parents, or worst case get a plot of land and start subsistence farming.
