Musk orders Twitter to cut infrastructure costs by $1B

Throwing big numbers around without a little context makes understanding the feasibility hard.

How much is Twitter currently spending? How much are other big social media firms spending in comparison?

Do all Teslas have a net connection? If so, can Musk replace a lot of the Cloud requirements of Twitter with the spare(?) compute capacity of Teslas? A mobile distributed mesh of processor power! Think of the modernity!

While you can't self-drive with the things, you can self-serve...

Gotta pay that 1 billion per year interest payment somehow.

A fact that most people don't believe is that users of addictive services don't really care that much about downtime. They will complain but keep coming back.

This is obviously the right thing to do: with the massive decline in the number of users lots of us are predicting you don't need as much infrastructure spending.

This mean they are moving back to the datacenter? (jokingggg)

"Orders" - is Twitter now part of the army? Or didn't he simply tell his employees, like any other boss?
