Ask HN: Do you consider textual web/app browsing to be reading?

Example: Reading HN, browsing Reddit threads, browsing Wikipedia.

Some people don't consider this reading, in the sense that it's not the classiest or most-preferred form, like it's not what they think of as reading done properly.

Others do think of it as reading, like "I read all day long" could include reading HN and scrolling through Twitter.

What's your opinion?
