For that to be a 250% increase, your walking speed must be 2 mph. That’s about the speed of the grim reaper (https://www.bmj.com/content/343/bmj.d7679) aka “very slow for healthy youngsters”. I would call 7 mph about double walking speed.

The thing is aptly named, though. At almost 2kg/shoe, you probably won’t lift them from the floor much.
