Wildlife in 'grave danger', biodiversity declined by 69% since 1970, warns WWF

I had thought the depopulation was slowing. Apparently not.

Can’t imagine this being any ruling party’s political priority with whispers of a recession in the air (I’m sure many will pay lip service)

I have no idea what to do about this. It’s such a severe, long term, tragedy of the commons situation.

Why the headline change? A population decline is not the same thing as a biodiversity decline.

69% decline in areas other than Europe and USA, EU and USA were already lost in 1970.

Since when does the World Wrestling Federation care about wildlife?

No one cares. Let's throw soup on more Van Gogh's.

Shows how effective they've been at their mission so far, doesn't it?

I suspect they may have nudged their statistics beyond the point where it can be excused as hyperbole. What is a "species" anymore? Does it often happen that a mother animal gives birth to multiple species in a single litter by their standards?
