possibly some helper text that says something to the effect of "confirm your order on the next page"?

The unusual aspect to me is that it's on the left side and not the right. It doesn't feel quite right.
"Check Out" is an old standard users will be familiar with, and "Place Order" or "Submit" is usually acceptable for the actual click that submits the order.
Amazon uses "Proceed to Checkout" which is a good way to word it; gives the user a mental image of going up to a cashier.
