Wouldn't Apple be a better company to handle crime though? iPhones are an even bigger treasure trove of criminal evidence - they're filled with pictures of crimes, documents proving crimes and chat messages admitting to crimes.

Apple could report so many wrongdoing to authorities but instead they quietly support all those criminals.

Apple and Google already do this. In fact, Google is so dedicated to the cause that they will ban you from their services even if the police think you did nothing wrong!
