For debugging I’d recommend checking out the module pudb; it’s built on top of the standard pdb module but with a nice robust TUI on top.
Very good list! I have been using the simple http server for a very long time now, but never knew about the other ones. Xonsh looks amazing, definitely going to add it to my repertoire. Thanks for that.
the -i command line option is very useful not only from script raising exception, it will give you bac a shell after the script is executed
for example
python3 -i -c "from math import *"
>>> sqrt(2)
1.4142135623730951
