CO2 emissions from global fossil fuel combustion in 2022 are set to grow

Not really looking good for holding things below 2C degrees of warming. It's likely the limit will be passed so it's time to start thinking about mitigation strategies and not pie in the sky solutions with fusion energy. This is another problem that would be solvable with AGI, presumably we are on the brink of it so how is it that everyone is just making jpegs instead of solving the fusion energy problem with this impending AGI?

Any VC funds actually working on this problem? Or are they all still investing in SaaS products?

Not surprising. With oil and gas tight, the substitute (coal) is laying around everywhere a- plentiful and cheap - and much, much worse for the environment.

They irony is that the US investing heavily in it's own oil and gas discovery for the last decade means it's one of the few countries not backsliding on climate.
