The NYPD Tapes (2010)

My cousin is NYPD and he told me the rank & file are wholly demoralized. Firstly because the hostility towards police, which is driving the old guard into retirement (the experienced officers train the newer officers) so they are missing a large component of what makes police an effective force.

Secondly, you have district attorney and ADAs who will NOT prosecute your collars, so what is the incentive if the violent offender or habitual street predator you just busted your ass to apprehend is just going to walk on cashless bail? Why risk your life and limb if you have zero support from the command and courts?

I like to think this is by design, but to be quite honest, I think it is just the collective stupidity of ideologues. Of course, I could be wrong - this could be entirely by design, purposely engineered to destabilize a society and if so, it is highly effective.
