Good. It's not like crypto is creating any local jobs compared to the tax it's avoiding.

I prefer to ask why the state is entitled to more taxation, rather than asking why its citizens are entitled to keep more.

Precisely. Why offload it to be wasted on expensive meals for bureaucrats conducting meetings at exotic vacation locations

That's a much much better deal than what you would get in many other countries. Sometimes I wonder why I don't live in Portugal, but I'm sure it's not all roses.

Crypto fans were pushing Portugal because they had 0 tax on crypto. Still not bad, but >0 for those who optimized for that.

Seems like with all the damage it causes it would be more like 50%
