I'm proud of this website for remembering to include the date of the conference. That was a great idea. Good job. If, however, I could include a small suggestion, some visitors might find it helpful to also be able to discover where on Earth (or whether it's online?) the conference is, whether there's a cost, and how one might acquire tickets.

From last year's website https://bangbangcon.com/2021

> !!Con 2021 was held online, the week of May 15-22, 2021!!

> !!Con was a pay-what-you-want conference. Our registration was open April 24th (first batch) and April 26th (second batch).

Conference program

Saturday, November 12

Talks day! All talks will be streamed live on YouTube, exact schedule to be announced.

Sunday, November 13

Workshop day! We’ll use Discord for the workshops, exact schedule to be announced.

They are clearly not completely ready yet.

Is there a reason they don't have a schedule or speaker topics?

If you click on their pictures, it takes you to a list of talks. Not obvious at all. https://bangbangcon.com/speakers.html#aki-van-ness

You're either with them or against them?

Could you clarify what you meant by this?

It was a poor attempt at a joke. !! is C's "make boolean" operator.

(Okay not really an operator in and of itself, more like a combination operator, like --> being the "down to" operator.)

Oooooh!!! Very clever. :)

There was a con called Notacon. I suppose it’s accurate to say this one is NOT Notacon.

This looks like a great speaker lineup. Any details on how to attend? Is it all just livestreamed on YouTube?

last year was just online.

I highly recommend it. It's historically been a bunch of random interesting geekery, that's very entertaining and educational in unexpected ways.

> November 12th will be a day of delightful lightning talks by our amazing speakers. We’ll also have a comedy set and musical number. It’ll be a great time.

This cutesy, fluff, advertisement-style language sounds deeply unappealing. Am I just a grouch or is this a huge turn-off for anyone else?

It's a conference where people use a cutesy style to communicate about serious topics in a fun and light-hearted way. If it's deeply unappealing to you, you're not the intended audience.

You're not wrong. !!Con has been on the decline for a while now. We've moved on to other conferences.
