I've been mostly a lurker on HN for over a decade. I never thought I'd see the day where a large portion of the userbase supports bringing back mental asylums and forced medication.
But the mental health providers voted to change the DSM 5 to not list being gay as a mental health disorder so we can trust them now. And hope they don't change their mind, sorry I mean take a rigorous scientific vote, and change it back in DSM 6. I'm sure gay people take comfort in knowing as of the 2013 DSM 5 there are no longer mental health categories based solely on sexual orientation.
