Ask HN: What makes you happy in life?

Sun, sauna, sex, conversations with strangers, photography, parenting, growing food, creating (terrible) pottery, walking in woods, swimming in lakes, and more.

Basically all the average, everyday, things I spend my free time doing.

There are definitely times when things suck, but if I didn't have fun hobbies and interests to enjoy and anticipate I'd go crazy.

Wayyy too many things to list. Engaging with things or people that provide the appropriate energy might be one way to put it.

- materialistic adventures

- spending time with friends & family

- being alone in nature, finding a new song or book I like, the smell of rain

just being with my family
